Every year, Safe Haven Ministries helps hundreds of women and children who have been affected by domestic abuse find hope and healing. Our work is made entirely possible by donations from individuals, businesses, foundations and churches. Together we end domestic abuse.

Important!

Your gift of $400 may only cost you $150!

 Safe Haven's emergency shelter Ramoth House is considered a homeless shelter and qualifies for the State of Michigan’s 50% tax credit in the homeless shelter/food bank category of your Michigan tax return. If you are a Michigan resident, up to $400 of your annual cash donation is designated to Ramoth House, resulting in a credit of $150 or 50% of your donation. Married couples who file jointly may receive combined state and federal credits of $250 for a gift of $400 to Safe Haven. Contact your tax advisor for further details.

Your Employer May Match Your Gift

 

You may be able to double or even triple your gift to Safe Haven. Many West Michigan businesses offer the opportunity for their employees, employees’ spouses, and/or retirees to match their gifts to non-profit organizations. Several of these companies are listed below; however, Safe Haven may not be aware of your company’s matching gift program. Simply ask your human resources or personnel department to find out if your company participates in a matching gift program.

 
How do I apply for a matching gift?
  • Often the human resources or personnel department handles matching gift inquiries. They should be able to provide you with the necessary forms.
  • Fill in the Employee section of the form and send it to Safe Haven’s office along with your donation. If you’ve made your donation online, complete the form and mail it to:

  • Safe Haven will complete the form and forward it to your employer’s matching gifts office for processing. Your company will send its matching gift directly to Safe Haven.
