Volunteer Opportunities

Team Safe Haven

Team Safe Haven is a group of runners and walkers who are taking a stand against domestic abuse. Join us at the Fifth Third Bank Run and help us end domestic abuse one step at a time. Team members who sign up during the month of February will be entered to win a free race entry! To learn more and sign up, visit www.safehavenministries.org/teamsafehaven

Maintenance Coordinator

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Coordinator provides oversight, hands-on maintenance and coordination of maintenance needs for the Safe Haven Ministries’ residential facility and grounds, an integral part of Safe Haven Ministries’ work with abused women and children. Duties include identifying Maintenance needs and coordinating general repair projects.

Child Care Provider

Childcare Providers serve the clients of Safe Haven by providing childcare programming while mothers attend support groups. Our fun and educational activities empower the children to develop appropriate coping mechanisms, safety planning skills and positive ways to deal with stress. With their children in a safe and supportive place, our clients have the opportunity to learn how to live a life free from abuse. This opportunity will be available on Weekday Evenings and Saturdays, 10am-12pm.

Transportation Driver:

As a Volunteer Transportation Driver, you will help the clients of Safe Haven by providing transportation for various appointments, job interviews, and emergency needs. Duties include transportation to and/or from a place on a needs basis. This is a great position for anyone who is willing to spare a few extra hours each week to help a domestic violence victim get the resources they need to succeed. *The Volunteer Transportation Driver will use Safe Haven’s Van.

Cell Phone Donation

We want your old, broken phones! Safe Haven collaborates with Smartphonerecycling.com, an organization that responsibly refurbishes or recycles used cell phones (used iPods and iPads too!), to raise money for non-profits. Since Safe Haven started this program we have raised more than $32,000 to serve and empower women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. Contact us for more details!

Third Party Fundraiser

Third party fundraisers allow volunteers to raise the necessary funds for a specific need they’re passionate about meeting. Click here to learn more.
