Part Time Shelter Assistant
What you’ll get:
● $14.25 per hour
● 32 hours per pay cycle
● Friday and Saturday 4pm-12am or Sunday and Monday 4pm-12am shifts
What you will do:
As a part time Shelter Assistant you’ll have the opportunity to develop crisis response skills and provide critical support and care to those experiencing domestic violence and human trafficking within our emergency safe shelter and through our crisis hotline. Under general supervision of the Residential Program Manager, in this part-time non-exempt role, you will get to grow and develop your crisis intervention and trauma-informed skills.

● Is a skilled and ambitious professional who shares a dedication for serving and enhancing the voices of
survivors of relationship abuse and human trafficking.
● Will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
● Will have knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence.
● Has active listening, crisis intervention, and problem resolution skills.
● Is self-directed and able to work independently.
● Exhibits good written and oral communication skills.
● Has the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
● Is able to lift up to 20 pounds.
● Would have additional education in social work, psychology, or a related field (preferred).
● Would be bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
