Prevention + Education
Praxis Faith
Praxis Faith brings faith-based communities and individuals together to create cultures of safety and shalom through training and response plan development.
Our Church Certification program equips faith communities to prevent and effectively respond to domestic violence and human trafficking. Through training, culture development, and ongoing coaching, churches increase their confidence and capacity to create flourishing Kingdom communities.
Empower Your Church to Support Survivors
Churches are often one of the first places survivors turn to for help—but without the right tools, well-meaning leaders may feel uncertain about how to respond. Safe Haven Ministries’ Church Certification Training provides faith communities with practical, trauma-informed guidance to recognize abuse, respond with compassion, and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
Through this training, your leadership team will gain the confidence and resources needed to support survivors while also strengthening policies, practices, and communication that reflect your church’s mission to care for all people.
Whether you’re just beginning the conversation or ready to deepen your commitment, this certification offers a clear, faith-aligned path toward becoming a safe and equipped place for those impacted by domestic abuse and human trafficking.
Creating a Safe Haven
Creating a Safe Haven is the first-of-its-kind program designed to help communities receive comprehensive domestic violence and Human Trafficking training and develop a plan for how they would respond in cases of domestic violence and/or Human Trafficking. The certification process ensures that leadership has the tools they need to work with an individual or family faced with this crisis. It also helps them develop policies and procedures on how to respond if someone in the staff is a victim or perpetrator of domestic violence and/or Human Trafficking.

Connecting the Biblical Narrative to Broken and Redeemed Relationships
Authors of the Bible, inspired by God, have never shied away from difficult problems, descriptions or ideas. Without fully realizing a connection, social work researchers, some forty years ago, developed difficult descriptions of relationship abuse and encouraging descriptions of healthy relationships and represented them in the Power and Control Wheel and the Relationship Equality Wheel. These wheels, which Safe Haven Ministries use in our trainings, have numerous connections to the Biblical Narrative. With this booklet, our purpose is to help people in churches see how connected the shalom work of the Church and Safe Haven Ministries actually is.
Included within the purchase of the Connecting the Biblical Narrative is a study guide to reinforce education and guide meaningful and thought-provoking conversations to further strengthen your team and congregation.
The Connecting the Biblical Narrative Study Guide is also available as a standalone free resource. This allows you and your group to dive deeper into Connecting the Biblical Narrative, the Power and Control Wheel, and the Relationship Equality Wheel.
