One-on-One Advocacy
Healing does not follow a timeline.
Everyone’s journey looks different. Whether you want to stay in a relationship, are ready to leave or have left multiple times, we will honor and explore what is important to you.
Examples of what one-on-one advocacy can look like is working with advocates to:
- Explore the different types of abuse
- Develop and strengthen coping skills and/or boundaries
- Go to court with you for a trial or hearing
- File a police report or gaining access to a police report
- Support you through the custody and divorce process
- Identify the different resources in the community that can help
- Understand how to support your child(ren) that may have witnessed abuse
- How to talk to your parents about what you are going through
