POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Trafficking Taskforce Coordinator leads the West Michigan Human Trafficking
Coalition, facilitates communication and cooperation between task force partners, and ultimately
ensures compliance with the objectives and program goals of the task force and the grant.
ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
Safe Haven Ministries—a nonprofit organization located in Grand Rapids, Michigan—believes in
a multi-faceted approach to serving victims/survivors of relationship abuse and human
trafficking, as well as preventing violence in our community. Safe Haven offers comprehensive
residential and non-residential services; confidential emergency shelter and transitional housing;
psycho-educational support groups; individual case management and advocacy; and primary
prevention training and outreach for the entire community.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES (Essential Functions)
● Develop, support and maintain trusting relationships between grantees, task force
members, lived experience experts, and the community.
● Execute the goals, objectives, and strategic plan for the task force.
● Manage the task force’s growth and sustainability by overseeing the vetting and onboarding of new partner agencies.
● Organize, convene, and facilitate meeting and communicate other information as necessary to task force members.
● Oversee data collection, data sharing, evaluation, and reporting, including performance metrics.
● Guide the development, review, and updates of task force policies and protocols.
● Manage the development of the task force’s organizational structure, including creating and overseeing working groups and subcommittees as necessary.
● Stay informed about emerging evidence-based practices and relevant literature.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED OR PREFERRED
