Young Leaders Against Violence
About YLAV
Young Leaders Against Violence (YLAV) is a local youth coalition where teens can build leadership skills and work together to prevent dating and sexual violence in our community. The group is made up of high school (9th–12th grade) aged students from Kent County that share a common interest in eliminating violence. The group meets to organize events, social media campaigns, movie screenings, and meetings with community leaders. YLAV is mentored by the leadership of Safe Haven Ministries.
Young Leaders Against Violence (YLAV) es una coalición juvenil local donde los adolescentes pueden desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo y trabajar juntos para prevenir la violencia sexual y en el noviazgo en nuestra comunidad. El grupo está formado por estudiantes de secundaria (grados 9 a 12) del condado de Kent que comparten un interés común en eliminar la violencia. El grupo se reúne para organizar eventos, campañas en las redes sociales, proyecciones de películas y reuniones con líderes comunitarios. YLAV es mentorado por el liderazgo de Safe Haven Ministries.
