The legal system can be overwhelming and full of obstacles for survivors. Our advocates can discuss and assist with options that fit your unique situation.

We can help:

  • Assist with completing, serving, and maintaining a personal protection order.
  • Discuss legal options and resources that can be included in a client's unique safety plan.
  • Support in understanding, navigating, and exercising rights within the criminal justice system as a survivor.
  • Assistance with Friend of the Court filings including divorce, custody, parenting time, and child support.
  • Provide emotional support during legal proceedings.
  • Coordinate with community partners to reduce barriers.

While our legal advocates do not provide legal representation or give legal advice, we are here to help survivors understand and navigate the legal system. Everyone deserves access to information, support, and guidance as to how abuse impacts legal outcomes.
